Marriage Course long

At PBC we have a truth to remember in the midst of the joys and challenges of married life that summarises biblical, sacrificial love: 'You, then me.' Heaven has been described as a wedding ceremony. Marriage is meant to show us the intimacy, connection and oneness God intended us to have with him, others and creation.

In a healthy marriage, two people know each other fully, accept each other no matter what, and love one another completely. No matter where you're at in your relationship, we invite you to take the next step in helping your marriage become the way God intended.

At PBC we have couples available to walk with you for a season if you'd like to improve your marriage or to help it through a tough time. All marriages, like anything else, need effort and commitment to keep them strong and healthy. We'd like to help you have a marriage the way God intended.

The Marriage Course

PBC are running the Marriage Course this Autumn, on Monday evenings from October 6th to November 24th, from 7:30 to 10:00pm. The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions (plus a party at the end) designed to help any married couple to strengthen their relationship. It seeks to enable you to build a healthy marriage that will last a lifetime. Over eight evenings spent together, you will find out new things about each other and about yourselves. You will have the opportunity to talk about issues that have been swept under the carpet in the rush of daily life. You discover what makes your partner feel loved. You will have time to discuss ways you have caused each other pain and how to heal hurt. You will recognise the sources of pressure in your relationship.

Each session of the course comprises a meal together, followed by a DVD to watch and time to discuss issues arising between yourselves. A couple's privacy is always respected - there is no requirement to disclose anything personal to a third party.

The Course Covers

Building strong foundations; the art of communication; resolving conflict; the power of forgiveness; parents and in-laws; good sex; love in action. If you are interested in finding out more about the course or signing up for the course, please call the church office on 01892 825590 or click here
