Youth Small Group - Youth small group"Hi I'm Emily. I'm 16 and currently in year 11 at school. I went to Pembury primary school and lived in Pembury until the age of about 10. I've been coming along to PBC since I was 2! So quite a few years!

Although for quite a while I came to church simply because my parents did but in 2002 I made my own commitment and started living what to me seemed like a much more authentic faith and began to experience much more of God's amazing love and power in my life.

I have a real passion for music and as any of my friends or family would tell you I never stop humming or singing! I now sing in Drenched (our youth band) which is great fun and has been such a blessing in so many ways and I've particularly enjoyed leading worship occasionally at The bridge.

I also sing sometimes in the "adult band" which has been really awesome and inspiring singing with the older worship leaders and singers in our church.

I'm part of Roger and Wendy's Youth Small Group which meet up every other Wednesday evening to discuss various topics and pray together which has been really helpful and is great to have that close friendship and trust. Last summer I went with the rest of the youth group to Soul Survivor, where we camped and attended various seminars and events. The week was quite easily the highlight of my summer! And it was so incredible seeing god work in our own lives and speak to us individually and together, but also so many other people around us! Aswell as my relationship with god growing and developing so much that week, my friendships really grew and I had a real laugh! I cant wait to go this year!"

Pastor Dave Baxter's New Year Message

10th January, 2012

Pastor Dave Baxter welcomed in the new year in the PBC News with a story of Hans Nielsen Hauge. That touch of God's hand and answer to prayer was the start of Hauge's God-driven mission to the whole of the Norwegian people. It was a time when Norwegians were emigrating to America and consequently, Hauge's teaching on repentance and salvation went over to the US with the Lutherans. What will God do in our lives this year? What are we praying for? Click on the header for the story and our Pastor's welcome in full. Happy New Year!
