The Day Centre, where every Tuesday between term time, the young at heart over 60's meet, has hosted children from Pembury School on 11th November 2008, Remembrance Day, to learn and talk with the over 60's about their wartime memories. The Day Centre has also recently received a grant from Sport Relief which allows PBC to employ a keep fit instructor to come in for Movement with Music each week. Helen Burgess will be selling handmade Christmas gifts including scarves, mirrors, picture frames and cards on Sunday 23rd November after the morning service to raise money for her sister, Lyndsay's proposed year long trip to Mozambique. The Auction of Promises will also continue where you can offer amounts of money for say, three hours gardening or four hours babysitting. Well worth taking the time to look on Sunday.
