HOPE Action Day, being held on 19th September 2009, was launched at PBC on Sunday 21st June 2009.  We have uploaded the launch video below for you to see for yourself, learning more about this event, the volunteers required and the work that they are able to bless people in the village with, aiming to share God's love in this Pembury village community.

All the churches in Pembury under the HOPE banner have united in the desire that together they can make a difference in our local community.  If you can, please come along and help in various projects around Pembury including painting, potting, serving cream teas, cleaning, chopping, clipping, digging, weeding, dusting, polishing, washing and scrubbing.  There are suitable projects for all people of all ages and all abilities.  Everyone is welcome!

There is a sign up sheet at PBC on the Welcome Desk or let the Church Office know if you are attending and what you are able to offer by way of job skill or complete the online sign up form below.

The event will start on Saturday 19th September meeting up at Pembury Baptist Church at 9am and we finish by enjoying a barbeque and social at the Camden Arms from 4pm.

If you know of any one in the village who needs a project undertaken for them or of a place that needs a spring clean, or just someone who would like their car cleaned or a visit with some cake and tea, please do give their contact details to the Church Office, speak to Helen or Jennifer on 01892822590 or email .  Please do not be afraid to ask!

Most of all, put the date in your diary - this is a not to be missed event!

Pastor Dave Baxter's New Year Message

10th January, 2012

Pastor Dave Baxter welcomed in the new year in the PBC News with a story of Hans Nielsen Hauge. That touch of God's hand and answer to prayer was the start of Hauge's God-driven mission to the whole of the Norwegian people. It was a time when Norwegians were emigrating to America and consequently, Hauge's teaching on repentance and salvation went over to the US with the Lutherans. What will God do in our lives this year? What are we praying for? Click on the header for the story and our Pastor's welcome in full. Happy New Year!
