Church Diary and Calendar Front Page - Front Page diary and calendar

We are a diverse group consisting of about 20members with average weekly attendance of about 8-10 people. All the members attend, but cannot necessarily come each week although we make a point of praying for everyone each week and encourage email communication of prayer needs.

We meet in Matfield most weeks, but every few weeks we meet in Tunbridge Wells so that some who find it hard to get to Matfield can attend. The meetings are usually led by John and/or Sarah but from time to time others take on this responsibility.

We meet to be with each other and with God and spend the evening worshiping, sharing, praying and studying the Bible. We take the Sunday sermon as our theme and seek to apply this teaching to our lives.

Two or three times a year we have a social evening which revolves around eating together. In the summer we have a BBQ and whenever the weather allows we try to meet outside in our lovely garden.

Some comments from members follow:

"We're good about finishing on time!" Steve

"It's my support during the week"

"I've been coming here since it started (in 1989) and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else"

"We're all here for each other"

"It's our small church family"

"Difficult ideas become crystal clear as we discuss them"

"I love the singing and praise at the beginning"

"We have a very stable core membership but love the refreshment of new members"

"We trust each other"

Pastor Dave Baxter's New Year Message

10th January, 2012

Pastor Dave Baxter welcomed in the new year in the PBC News with a story of Hans Nielsen Hauge. That touch of God's hand and answer to prayer was the start of Hauge's God-driven mission to the whole of the Norwegian people. It was a time when Norwegians were emigrating to America and consequently, Hauge's teaching on repentance and salvation went over to the US with the Lutherans. What will God do in our lives this year? What are we praying for? Click on the header for the story and our Pastor's welcome in full. Happy New Year!
