Goodbye to Rev. Philip and Claire Davis

On Sunday 21st March, the people of PBC will be saying their goodbyes to Rev. Philip and Claire Davis as they leave for Philip's new pastorate at Penge Baptist Church. Philip will be speaking at both the morning and the evening services, speaking on the first of the 'With Jesus' series. After the morning service there will be a Bring and Share lunch for an opportunity to say a final and very large thank you and goodbye. If you are hoping to attend, please sign up this Sunday at the welcome desk in the Church or email Those with surnames starting with letters A-L will be bringing savoury food and M-Z desserts.

Testimony - Saved from Self Harm

Becky gave her testimony on being freed from the addiction of self harm when Rev. Philip Davis spoke on 'Transformation' and has kindly allowed us to reproduce her words on the website for encouragement to a wider audience. We praise God for her freedom from this debilitating but common issue among young people and pray that it might make a difference to others to hear her words. Baptism Sunday - 21st February 2010

The next Baptism Sunday at Pembury Baptist Church is 21st February 2010. Day of Prayer and Fasting - Tuesday 19th January 2010

On Tuesday 19th January 2010, PBC is holding a Day of Prayer and Fasting, specifically to pray for healing for David Chaput and Ruth Hancock who are ill at this present time but also for others in need both locally and internationally including Haiti. Do join with us as we intercede for the healing of our friends and for food, equipment and aid to reach Haiti quickly and for peace not conflict as the country begins to rebuild.

Day Centre Christmas Party Photos - 15th December 09

The PBC Day Centre for the over 60's enjoyed their Christmas Celebration this Tuesday with a short service with Rev. Wayne Alexander speaking followed by full Christmas dinner and Father Christmas arriving to distribute gifts for all. Click on the heading to see a short slideshow of photos taken on the day.

Carol Singing at Tesco - This Thursday

Are you up for a spot of carol singing, culminating in a glass of mulled wine at the Camden Arms this Thursday evening? Starting at 6pm at Tesco Pembury, Pembury Churches Together will be singing there for half an hour or so, moving to Cornford House where they will be singing 'through the corridors' and ending at the Camden Arms to sing carols and enjoy a glass of mulled wine. Donations will be taken for Hospice in the Weald.

PBC Creative Arts Gallery Photos - 14th - 18th December 09

If you haven't had an opportunity to visit yet, you still have two days left, Thursday and Friday when the gallery is open from 10am to 8pm, weather permitting. It is well worth a visit.

Carols by Candlelight - Who Will You Bring this Sunday?

This Sunday 20th December at 10am, Colin Burgess will speak on the third theme of 'Joy and Babies' in the 'What Does Christmas Mean to You?' sermon series. The 'Princes and Princesses' Carols by Candlelight service for 2-7 year olds starts at 4pm, with the adult Carols by Candlelight following at 6pm and 8pm. Do bring your friends and neightbours for powerful music, drama and your favourite carols. Please stay after the services for a glass of mulled wine, mince pie or tea, coffee, juice and biscuits if you prefer!

How Can You Serve at PBC This Christmas

There is an exciting programme of events and services at PBC this December and we are looking forward to worshipping Jesus throughout this season. We need your help to make our special Christmas events unforgettable for visitors and guests. The PBC Art Gallery, themed on the question 'What does Christmas mean to you?' is open from Monday 14th to Friday 18th December, not to mention the Carols by Candlelight, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services where additional serving is required. You can sign up in the Church Foyer or complete a form by clicking on the heading. Please lend a hand and a willing heart to make a difference.
