Wayne - Wayne 2Wayne Alexander - Pastor

The leader of the Staff Team and Pastor of PBC is Wayne. Wayne was born in Worthing, educated at the London School of Theology and came to PBC in September 2002. He is married to Jemma and they have two beautiful daughters called Grace and Belle. Prior to coming to PBC Wayne worked in a hospital in India, as a roofer and as a waiter, amongst other things. None of those places would have him, so he came to PBC as the Associate Pastor in September 2002, before becoming Pastor after a year of interregnum in November 2005.

His main roles in PBC are leading the Eldership and Staff teams, envisioning the church and being the primary teacher. Wayne's blog is the best place to find out about the things that excite or challenge him, but in summary Wayne is passionate about leading a church where the love of Jesus is creatively proclaimed, sacrificially demonstrated and undeniably experienced.

He loves film, music, theatre and reading and has a real soft spot for food. Wayne would love to hear your story and get to know you. To book some time with him, please call the office.

Pastor Dave Baxter's New Year Message

10th January, 2012

Pastor Dave Baxter welcomed in the new year in the PBC News with a story of Hans Nielsen Hauge. That touch of God's hand and answer to prayer was the start of Hauge's God-driven mission to the whole of the Norwegian people. It was a time when Norwegians were emigrating to America and consequently, Hauge's teaching on repentance and salvation went over to the US with the Lutherans. What will God do in our lives this year? What are we praying for? Click on the header for the story and our Pastor's welcome in full. Happy New Year!
