4 Weeks of Community
Tuesday 9th June to Tuesday 7th July
The 4 Weeks of Community teaching series helped us to think about what it means to be God's community as taught in Acts 2. How does the gospel shape community and how is the gospel expressed by community? What is God's dream for you and your relationships? The sermons can be found on the website sermons page.
Between 7th June and 7th July we are inviting the whole PBC family to together make a special effort to put the teaching into practice by deepening relationships within PBC and reaching outside the four walls of PBC to serve in their local community. This can be done by considering these four challenges:
- If you're not in a Small Group: For four weeks, why not join a Small Group and see how God works in your life through community?
- If you're already in a Small Group: How did God challenge your group during 4 Weeks of Community teaching series? Is there a different activity or focus that you could try out that you wouldn't normally do?
- Consider becoming a member at PBC: Commit to partnering with us and with God in what He is doing in us and through us. Our next membership course is on the 9th, 16th and 30th June.
- Consider becoming a Small Group Leader: Do you have a passion to see people grow? Please contact the office for more information.
We asked some members of PBC to share what Small Groups mean to them:
"For me small group is a dynamic time of learning and studying. I always go away buzzing and looking forward to the next week!"
John Reynolds
"To me, small groups are a vital part of our church family, as they offer mutual support, accountability, friendship, and teaching and learning. It's rather like tutorials, with Sunday morning teachings being lectures and small groups being tutorials."
Sally Richards
"A relaxed, enjoyable and supportive environment to discuss God's Word and to share the effect it has on our lives."
Simon Merrett
"Small group to me is about love, support and spiritual growth. I love our group, we are a very new group but feel like we have been together forever and that's thanks to faithful prayer for God to be at the centre of our group, and He so is."
Sally Stanbridge.
