Day Centre

Day Centre imageThe Day Centre is a friendly meeting place for the over 60s. It is open every Tuesday during term time from 10am till 2pm.

The cost of £2.50 per person includes mid morning coffee and tea, crafts and a two course lunch. Transport is available.

The Day Centre Rules:

1 - you have to be young at heart
2 - you have to be proud to be older than most
3 - enjoy having fun
4 - game for a laugh
5 - ENJOY FANTASTIC WHOLESOME HOMECOOKED FOOD!

We don't force feed anyone the food or the fun. You can chat, do word puzzles, play scrabble, cards, Nintendo Wii (bowling) or even bake a cake or let your artistic skills hang out with flowers or painting.

Our next teaching series begins on the 18th May. Called 'Ask Anything', it is a series that will look at hard questions that you have or hold your friends back from finding faith. Please e-mail your hard questions to askanything@pemburybaptistchurch.org

Our guest speaker at this Sunday's United Service (10am) is Gavin Calver. He was really appreciated on his last visit for his powerful, no-nonse preaching style. Our United service has a special event in our hall for all children and teaching for adults in the sanctuary.

A notice to all PBC members: our AGM begins at 7:45pm on the 22nd April for refreshments and time together. The evening includes: worship and prayer, important reviews of 2007, reaffirmation (voting) of the Eldership and an exciting vision announcement about the year ahead. Please make every effort to be there.
