Are you new to PBC? Maybe you've been coming to PBC on a Sunday and you're wondering how you can connect deeper with what's going on. Maybe you just want to get to know some people. Maybe you're feeling God calling you to serve and you're not sure where to begin. We recognise that getting to know people when you're new to a church can take time, but we want to make it easy for you. We'll try to answer your questions here.

Newcomer Sunday

Every month we have a few friends at PBC ready to host newcomers for a friendly Sunday lunch. This is just an informal chance to connect with people over something nice to eat. Since we introduced Newcomer Sunday, lots of people have signed up and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know some people beyond the normal after church chat over coffee! If you'd like to know more, please speak to someone at the Welcome Table after church or call us here at the office on 01892 825590. Or, please e-mail us at  Newcomer Sunday is for anyone who has been coming for under a year or so.

Mentoring 1 - MentoringSmall Groups, Ladies Breakfast, Men's Ministry, Prayer and Courses

We have many different groups meeting at different times and places throughout the week that are much smaller than the crowd that gathers on a Sunday service. Our primary place for developing Community is in Small Groups, but some begin first by connecting with our Ladies Breakfasts or Men's Ministry events. We have smaller Prayer groups and Courses that are also a wonderful chance to get to know people more.

Sometimes the best way to get to know people is by serving alongside them. It is deeply rooted within who we are as a church that we serve and seek to be a blessing to our world. There are many opportunities to serve, that will fit your interests and gifts. To find out more, please call Jennifer Roberts (right) for an informal chat on 01892 824900 or e-mail

Testimony - Saved from Self Harm

4th February, 2010

Becky gave her testimony on being freed from the addiction of self harm when Rev. Philip Davis spoke on 'Transformation' and has kindly allowed us to reproduce her words on the website for encouragement to a wider audience. We praise God for her freedom from this debilitating but common issue among young people and pray that it might make a difference to others to hear her words. Click on the heading to read her testimony.
