The absolute best way to understand and learn about any community is to experience it on the relational level. Statements of faith can tell you what a community of faith's beliefs are, but they can't tell you who they are. If you'd like to discover who we are at PBC, please come to one of our services on Sundays.

Core Convictions:
  • The Bible is God's authoritative word to us.
  • Jesus is the only hope for a lost and broken world.
  • The local church is God's agent for redemptive change.
  • Every Christian is called and gifted by God to serve the Body and seek the Lost.
  • The Church is called to whole earth evangelism.
FAQ's

What does PBC believe about the Scriptures?

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit to write words of Scripture. The Bible is without error in all that it affirms.

What does PBC believe about God?

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world.

What does PBC believe about mankind?

We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.

What does PBC believe about salvation?

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin.

What does PBC believe about the Christian life?

We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Holy Spirit, every believer will mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.

What does PBC believe about the church?

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.

Testimony - Saved from Self Harm

Becky gave her testimony on being freed from the addiction of self harm when Rev. Philip Davis spoke on 'Transformation' and has kindly allowed us to reproduce her words on the website for encouragement to a wider audience. We praise God for her freedom from this debilitating but common issue among young people and pray that it might make a difference to others to hear her words.
