"They all joined together constantly in prayer" Acts1:14Kneel in prayer

Prayer is vital to everything we do as a church. We ask and encourage those who call PBC their spiritual home to be committed to growing in prayer.

The foundation of our corporate prayer activity is our regular prayer and worship meetings where we pray for PBC, our community, our own country and other nations. Every Friday we have a Prayer Meeting, as well as prayer gatherings before our Sunday services. There are also various other annual prayer events and opportunities to pray which will be promoted from time to time at church or on our website events calendar. This includes an annual 24/7 Prayer Week.

Sundays at 9.30am and 6.00pm

Join us in the Prayer Room to seek and call on God's blessing and Holy Spirit power before each of our services.

Fridays at 8.00pm

We meet on Friday nights at 8.00pm in the Church Foyer to come before the Lord in prayer and worship and supplication in an unstructured meeting.  This prayer meeting stops during August 2010, and will start again on the first Friday in September.

24 - 7

24-7 prayer24-7 Prayer Week has become an important part of PBC's calendar year.  It is a time when prayer stations are set up around the church for various specific subjects, for example, the Youth Ministry, the Suffering Church, Environment, our Government, and Pembury Village as well as for Pembury Baptist Church itself.  People book slots by the hour to take time out and focus on meeting God during that time in the Church, bringing their praise and petitions to Him.  The dates are 18th - 25th July 2010.

Prayer ministry

Prayer ministry is available after every service. The purpose of the prayer ministry team is to actively encourage and be available to pray for people needing prayer support. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory. For more information on prayer ministry at PBC, or if you would like to be considered to join the prayer ministry team (training will be provided), please call Gail Chaput, Prayer Ministry Leader, on 01892 822188

Pastor Dave Baxter's New Year Message

10th January, 2012

Pastor Dave Baxter welcomed in the new year in the PBC News with a story of Hans Nielsen Hauge. That touch of God's hand and answer to prayer was the start of Hauge's God-driven mission to the whole of the Norwegian people. It was a time when Norwegians were emigrating to America and consequently, Hauge's teaching on repentance and salvation went over to the US with the Lutherans. What will God do in our lives this year? What are we praying for? Click on the header for the story and our Pastor's welcome in full. Happy New Year!
