Prayer Meetings

4th January 2022

Happy New Year!

C.H. Spurgeon was certainly one of the most popular preachers in the Victorian Era, addressing thousands every week from his pulpit. But it was the midweek prayer meetings in his London church, the Metropolitan Tabernacle, that he saw as the 'engine room' of the church. Without these, the church would have been powerless and going nowhere.
As we begin this New Year I’d love to encourage you to try one of our prayer meetings:
Every Tuesday we meet 8-9pm. Tonight we’ll be physically at church, next week on zoom. Normally we read a Bible passage together, meditate on that and then go where the Spirit leads us, praising, interceding and more.
Every Wednesday in the church 6.15-7pm is ’Seeking His Face’ . We worship freely, share pictures and prophetic words and pray for each other.
Every Sunday 9.30am we meet in the hall lounge area to pray for the service, praying for all aspects of the service and preparing the ground for our worship together.
Everyone is welcome to these meetings - you can come occasionally or regularly, whatever what works for you. You don’t need to pray fancy/long prayers, in fact there’s no pressure to pray out loud at all. Just come - that’s the main thing. Because there are less of us, social distancing is very doable on the Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
In addition, every Monday mornings Daph and Jean meet to pray and are always happy to pray with you or for you too.
God bless
Dan
